This past weekend, we had the privilege of participating in the first-ever GiveBack Volunteer event, organized by the Newtown Business Association (NBA) in partnership with the United Way of Bucks County. It was a day filled with collaboration, compassion, and commitment, reminding us of the incredible power of community—and how real estate investors and professionals can be part of something greater.
Making an Impact Together

The GiveBack Volunteer event was spearheaded by Lorena Escalara, whose vision brought together local businesses, real estate professionals, and community members. Together, we supported the United Way Emergency Thanksgiving Pantry, ensuring families in need had a brighter holiday season.
It was inspiring to see people from all walks of life rolling up their sleeves and pitching in. From business leaders to first-time volunteers, everyone played a role in creating an atmosphere of generosity and connection.
A heartfelt thank-you goes out to Brooke Straiton of Brooke Straiton Photography and Film for capturing the event’s highlights. These images will serve as a lasting reminder of the impact we can make when we come together.
Real Estate Investors: Building Communities Beyond Deals
As real estate investors, much of our focus is on identifying opportunities and closing deals. But events like this remind us that success isn’t just about numbers—it’s about building stronger communities.
Our industry thrives when our neighborhoods thrive. Whether through volunteering time, donating resources, or offering expertise, real estate professionals are uniquely positioned to give back. Events like the GiveBack Volunteer day show that our role extends beyond transactions to building meaningful connections with the communities we serve.
Gratitude and Growth
Gratitude lies at the heart of everything we do. I am immensely thankful to the Newtown Business Association, the United Way, and all the volunteers and sponsors who made this event a reality. It’s an honor to stand alongside such inspiring individuals and businesses.
This was more than just a day of service—it was a step toward cultivating a culture of giving and connection. Whether it’s a donation, a helping hand, or simply showing up, every effort contributes to the greater good.
What’s Next for Real Estate Professionals?
This event was just the beginning. As real estate investors, there are countless opportunities to get involved and give back:
- Host a Community Clean-Up: Use your expertise in property and land management to beautify neighborhoods.
- Sponsor Local Events: Partner with local organizations to support charitable initiatives.
- Provide Housing Assistance: Work with nonprofits to offer temporary housing or assistance for families in transition.
Let’s continue to find ways to make a positive impact. If you’re curious about how you can join upcoming events or give back through real estate, reach out or explore local volunteer opportunities through the Newtown Business Association.
